The evolution of Bitcoin mining machines and their current state

Satoshi Nakamoto's

The greater a computer's computing power, the faster its computingm31s whatsminer speed and the greater the likelihood of finding the correct hash value and earning bitcoins. As a result, the history of mining can be described as the evolution of arithmetic power.

Mining CUP Satoshi Nakamoto mined the first block of Bitcoin, the Genesis Block, on a small server in Helsinki, Finland, on January 3, 2009, and was rewarded with 50 Bitcoins. Satoshi Nakamoto's mining tool at the time was a CPU. Because ordinary computers, as we know, have CPUs, the threshold for mining was low at the time, and anyone could mine using a home computer, and anyone could be a miner.

Mining with GPUs GPU mining made its official debut in 2010. A mining appsingle GPU graphics card is equivalent to dozens of CPUs, and arithmetic power has increased significantly. Many people discovered at the time that the benefits of GPU mining were far superior to those of CPU mining, and that a single GPU could generate dozens of bitcoins per day if they were lucky, so miners began to buy a large number of computers with GPU graphics cards for mining. As GPU mining became more popular, it was discovered that the core wafers of the GPU could be extracted separately and then many of these core wafers could be pooled into a single device for mining, giving rise to FPGA mining.

Mining with ASICs Professional mining machine mining, as representedminer gate by ASIC, first appeared in public in 2012. An ASIC is an integrated circuit designed for a specific purpose, and an ASIC miner is an integrated circuit device designed specifically for digital currency mining; this device is made for mining and focuses solely on mining digital currency. Because ASIC is designed for a specific function, its arithmetic power is dozens or hundreds of times greater than that of a standard computer; thus, a large number of ASIC miners have emerged since the second half of 2013.
